DZODZE QUEEN MOTHERS REGISTER DISPLEASURE AT CANCELLATION OF DEZA-2023 CELEBRATION

The Dzodze Queen Mothers Association have unanimously registered their displeasure at the turn of events, that the Dzodze Deza 2023 is canceled, via a release by the Ketu North Municipal Security Council-dated Tuesday October 2nd, 2023.
In a joint release on Wednesday 4th October, 2023, the Queen Mothers regretted that just few days to the climax, thus the grand durbar originally slated for 7th October, 2023, such a letter could pop up cancelling the festival celebration.

The development they said simply creates huge financial loss for business people generally;people who have prepared to sell over the festival period and again the move is a clear disincentive to prospective investors wanting to come to Dzodze.
The Queen mothers appealed to the general public to remain calm, especially the youth, as they continue to engage relevant stakeholders on an amicable solution!

They stated that all chiefs and Queens are not happy with the turn of events – emphasizing that Deza is the only avenue where funds are mobilized to help the towns development efforts. Through Deza, the town has bought huge lands and is able to make few interventions here and there anytime the need arises. The Queens agreed with the fears of MUSEC but were quick to add that the council needed to accommodate the advise of the Chiefs and Queens much more.

The biggest wish of the Queen mothers is for the celebration to come on but God knows best they said.
Present at the meeting were Mama Hoewornu, Secretary to the Association. Mama Agbaledzokpui II ( President ), Mama Anyitsorgbe ( Vice President), Mama Gbetortiekpor , Mama Yorfomi Gligui and others.
