GES Generates Over Ghs11 Million from CSSPS Vouchers purchased by SHS Students
The Ghana Education Service is set to mobilize internal revenue worth Ghc11 Million cedis after sales of computerized School selection placement System vouchers required for a candidate to be able access the school in which he or she is placed.
A voucher goes for Ghc20 in some internet cafes within Wa and each student out of the 564,411 has to buy such a voucher. The number excludes 7,315 students who were absent, 138 Students had some of their subject results cancelled whilst 109 students had their entire results cancelled pending investigations, 46 students had their results cancelled completely out of a total of 572,167.
Statistics and Analyses.
If a student is to spend Ghc20 on buying a form, it means we’ll multiply Ghc20 by 564,411 and that will give us a total of Ghc11,288,220 which is Eleven Million Two hundred and Eighty Eight thousand, two hundred and twenty cedis.
Meanwhile the Director General of Education, Prof. Kwasi Opoku Amankwah has stated that the CSSPS System has come to stay.
