Former Ghana international Yaw Preko says Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronald is not dangerous and that the Black Stars should be concerned about the other Portuguese stars ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Black Stars are in Group H and will kick off their campaign against the former European champions, who are heavy favourites to win the group.
South American powerhouses Uruguay and South Korea are also included in the group.
Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, scored the game-winning goal when Ghana and Portugal met at the 2014 World Cup.
But Preko believes the former Real Madrid star will not be a threat this time.
“We shouldn’t underrate Portugal. I don’t see Ronaldo as a threat but the players around him”, he stated.
“Since he came to Manchester United, you can see that physically and psychologically, he is not the same but the players around him are dangerous,” he told Graphic Sports.
Ghana defeated Nigeria in the final round of qualifying to qualify for the World Cup for the fourth time.
Black Stars had their best performance in 2010, when they reached the quarter-finals. They are hoping to make it to the last four later this year in the Arab Country.
