Mama Awagashie II, Queen mother of Dzodze-Adagbledu on Sunday 12th July, 2020 donated Covid 19 protective equipment/items such as veronica buckets, face masks, liquid soaps, hand sanitizers among others to her people, special focus on the underprivileged in society.
Beneficiaries of the donation exercise were people of Dzodze-Adagbledu, Kasu-Kemekorpe, Awlikorpe and Dagbalekorpe all in the Dzodze traditional area.
Mama Awagashie II could not hide her joy after the warm reception by the people. She further cautioned the people to be extra careful in these unusual times and observe all the laid down protocols relating to covid19-especially regular hand washing after touching currency, touching public door handles among others, and urged strong adherence to social distancing even among family and friends since the virus does not discriminate.
At the ceremony, Torgbui Dzoku V used the opportunity to thank the Queen mother and the Mama Awagashie II foundation for their support and finally tasked individuals, organizations and other organizations to help the people of the Volta Region and Ghana generally, to fighting the Covid 19 pandemic.
Also present at the ceremony was Hon. Paul Atsu Avuglah, Assemblyman for Adagbledu Electoral Area in Dzodze.
