V/R:KETU NORTH MUNICIPAL HAS RECORDED FIVE (5) CASES OF CORONA VIRUS.


Since the first case COVID-19 was detected in Ghana, the Ketu North Municipality has been free from this pandemic until 29th May 2020.
The Ketu North Municipal Assembly has recorded it first case of covid-19, the case was a 28years old man who fell sick in Tema and travelled into the municipality on Friday 29th may 2020 to seek health care.
Health staff referred the patient to Ketu South Municipal Hospital at Aflao where he was suspected of Covid-19 and His sample was taken for testing at UHAS laboratory in Ho. The patient unfortunately passed on the same day sample was taken but the result came out as COVID 19 positive on the 1st of June 2020.
According to the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Anthony Avorgbedor, health staff informed the family of the deceased of the test result and took 18 samples of persons who came into contact with the deceased and the sample results came out on the 4th of June,2020 with five (5) of the contact being positive.
Hon. Anthony Avorgbedor further stated that there is continue contact tracing of the five positive cases and urge the general public to remain calm and adhere to all the preventive protocols.
