The importance of the e-levy is for the employment of Ghanaian youth – Afenyo Markin

Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin is the Member of the Parliament for the Effutu constituency, Central Region

Speaking on Joynews live today, he was asked by Evans Mensah about the status of the e-levy.

Here’s his response and the importance of the e-levy:

The E-levy bill is still in progress. One of the things I’ve learned is that your colleagues will oppose you. I wouldn’t say the NDC is making noise but what the nuisance of it brings.

Sometimes, someone will have to pinch you small. On that score, I’ll say that it has brought a wake-up call to expand our communication. We realized that people don’t even understand the input of the e-levy.

You would realize that aside from being in Accra, we were organizing press conferences in Koforidua, Takoradi, Tamale, Wa, etc to factually present the importance of the e-levy.

It is for the employment of the Ghanaian youth. Many of the youth complete university and have no jobs.

Afenyo Markin finally said. Are you in agreement with his wording? The youth of Ghana should be excited as the unemployment rate through e-levy will be reduced.
