Newly formed Dzodze Traditional Council pays courtesy visit to 2 Health Facilities

The Dzodze traditional council led by its President and Paramount Chief, Torgbiga Dzoku V, has on Tuesday July 16, paid courtesy visits to the St. Anthony Catholic hospital and the Dzodze Ghana Mission hospital both in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta region.

The aim was to familiarize with the work of the facilities and to assess some challenges facing them to see how best the council can assist in addressing those challenges in order to improve upon health delivery services in the municipality.

Speaking at separate engagements with the hospitals’ management and staff, Torgbiga Dzoku commended the facilities for their commitment and dedication to the call to saving lives and offering safe and affordable health care services to the people of Dzodze and it’s environs over the years.

He said the traditional council was aware of the many challenges facing the hospitals and for that matter general health delivery in the area and will do all it can to support them in further strengthening their efforts to continue to provide quality and affordable health care services to the people.

Torgbiga Dzoku advised the medical staff, especially nurses to add a human face to their work, adding that the nursing profession was a calling which required the show of empathy and fellow-feeling for the sick and the entire humanity.

Hon. Mac Thompson Gbeti, and Mr Williams Ladzaka, administrators’ for the Dzodze Ghana Mission hospital and the St. Anthony Catholic hospital respectively commended Torgbiga Dzoku and his entourage for the visit which they described as timely and further called for cooperation between the traditional council and the hospitals towards the improvement of health delivery in the area.
