Biakoye District NASPA Embarks on Clean-up campaign “My environment My health”.
The executives of National Service personnel association 2019/2020 in the Biakoye District has organized the first edition of ” My environment My health” campaign.
The clean-up campaign which was held on Thursday 20/02/2020 in Abotoase is to keep the environment clean all the time.
In attendance was the Assemblyman for Abotoase Hon Aminu, Biakoye district NSS assistance office Administrator Mr Innocent Amanu, Biakoye district NASPA President Mr Arnold Tonou and his vice Mr P.k Dikpeku, NASPA secretary Mr Azagbeli Arnong, NASPA financial secretary Mr Julius Agbevivina, other NASPA executives and the National service person’s in the Biakoye district.
The clean-up started at 6:30am from Tapa Abotoase roundabout to the main street through to the lorry station and end at the main Market.
Mr Innocent Amanu Biakoye district National service assistant office administrator in his remarks stated that the decision to embark on the clean-up campaign in Abotoase is to
emphasize the importance of
keeping a clean and healthy environment, he also said they choose Abotoase because it’s a commercial town with the biggest market therefore need to be clean at all times.
NASPA president Mr Arnold Tonou also started by thanking his executives for the ideal and thank everybody for taking part in the first edition of the clean-up campaign “My environment My health” he said, he is hopeful that the next edition which will come on soon will be bigger and better.
Mr Tonou said the exercise will help bring clean environment and will continue in the district. He encouraged the general public to change their attitude towards waste management and do their best at contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment for posterity.
Assemblyman for Tapa Abotoase Hon Aminu also commend Biakoye district NASPA for a good initiative, he said he is very much grateful for the clean-up campaign and hoping for the exercise to continue in Abotoase township.
Biakoye district financial secretary Mr Julius Agbevivina encourage all National service personnel to pay their monthly dues for more work to be done in the district.
