Prince Yawson, the Ghanaian veteran actor popularly known as ‘Waakye’, according to reports has died.
Fellow cast member of the 1990s ‘Diabolo’ movie, Bob Smith Jr alias ‘Diaboloman’ confirmed the sad event which took place early Tuesday August 2, 2022 at the 37 Military Hospital, Accra.
Some time ago, there were rumours the ‘Chorkor Trotro’ actor had mild stroke.
In October 2020, he confirmed he had been sick but added God had healed him.
In December the same year, Mr. Yawson graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from My Life Theology University in Accra.
Following this incident, the beloved actor who was also a comedian, in April 2021, was ordained a Reverend Minister.
He said this new journey had been foretold by a number of men of God.
Being a clergyman marked his retirement from acting.
The deceased is said to have battled an undisclosed illness.
He was 52 years old.
